Supported iPhones
Snoopy works with the following iPhone models:
- iPhone 13, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, 13 Mini
- iPhone 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 12 Mini
- iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max
- iPhone XR, XS, XS Max
- iPhone X
- iPhone 8, 8 Plus
- iPhone 7, 7 Plus
- iPhone SE (2nd generation and newer)
iPad is not supported. The microphone positioning and sensitivity are optimized specifically for iPhones.
iOS Version
- Minimum: iOS 13.0
- Recommended: Latest iOS version for best performance
Accessories
Bluetooth Headphones (Recommended)
While not required, Bluetooth headphones or AirPods significantly improve the experience:
- Better audio quality - Easier to hear the heartbeat
- Less stressful for dogs - No wires to worry about
- Hands-free operation - Better positioning of the phone
Phone Case
Remove your phone case before recording. Cases prevent proper contact between the phone's microphone and your dog's chest, resulting in poor audio quality.
Network Requirements
No internet connection required to use the app. You'll only need internet when:
- Downloading the app from the App Store
- Sharing recordings via email or messaging apps
- Checking for app updates
Storage Space
- App size: ~50MB
- Recording storage: ~2-5MB per recording
- Recommended free space: At least 200MB for the app and multiple recordings
