Frequently Asked Questions

Before contacting support, check if your question is answered below:

Does Snoopy work on Android? No, Snoopy is currently only available for iPhone (iOS). We have no plans for an Android version at this time.

Does Snoopy work on iPad? No, the app is designed specifically for iPhone microphones and is not compatible with iPad.

Do I need to buy accessories? No accessories are required. We recommend Bluetooth headphones for better listening experience, but the app works with just your iPhone.

Can I get a refund? Apple handles all App Store refunds. Visit support.apple.com or contact Apple Support directly for refund requests.

Is Snoopy a medical device? No. Snoopy is a consumer app designed to help dog owners monitor their pets between vet visits. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary care, diagnosis, or treatment.

Can vets use Snoopy professionally? Snoopy is designed for pet owners, not professional diagnostics. However, many vets appreciate receiving recordings from their clients for preliminary assessment or monitoring between appointments.

How accurate are the recordings? The quality depends on technique and conditions. When recorded properly in a quiet environment, the audio quality is sufficient for vets to hear murmurs and irregular rhythms. However, it's not as accurate as professional-grade equipment.

Why do I need to wet my dog's fur? Dry fur creates air pockets that muffle sound. Wetting the fur ensures the phone microphone makes better contact with your dog's skin, improving audio quality significantly.

My vet is skeptical. How can I convince them? Share one of your best recordings with them! Most vets are impressed with the audio quality once they hear it. You can also direct them to our For Vets page.
